  • Gold is in - my new jewellery

Hello, my friends! Today I made a lovely purchase at the Lovisa in Battuta mall. Passing by and seeing these beautiful earrings, I could not resist, and my darling little Estelle picked for me the snake ring, the price was not even worth to speak about, altogether not more than 100 DHS, so why not and Marcus will be happy to see me saving. Summer started, gold is in, time to put some crazy big earrings on and show the world that we might be over 40, but still keeping up with the young ones! Kisses, Henrieta

  • Tania's Tea House - one of the most charming cafes in Dubai

Today has my lovely friend Maria Birthday, we dropped the kids to schools and met for a tasty and very healthy breakfast by Tania's tea house, one of the most charming cafes I personally know here in Dubai. Even Company like Chiristian Dior and others get inspired and had already photo shootings here, not just us ;-). We had a wonderful time and delicious breakfast. Happy birthday to my darling friend Maria, I love you and thank you for being my friend and listener. Kisses, Henrieta

  • Definition BOHO and my brown overall.

I love various styles; one of them is the Boho style. I have plenty of unique pieces in my wardrobe. Did you know that the definition "BoHo" is an abbreviation of Bohemian Homeless, self-descriptive of the style? Designer Savannah Miller, elder sister of actress Sienna Miller, described a "real bohemian" as "someone who has the ability to appreciate beauty on a deep level, is a profound romantic, doesn't know any limits, whose world is their own creation, rather than living in a box". Well, that accurately describes me! Here I am wearing a beautiful short jumpsuit, with fantastic embroidery and little detail in the waist. The rich brown colour makes the jumpsuit stand out from usual designs, I love this unique piece from Free people brand. Kisses, Ramadan Kareem, Henrieta

  • Wet look experiment.

Today was a little different day, we sat in the garden and enjoyed the sun while I've decided to create the at the moment very popular look everyone talks about, "The Wet-look" from MET Ball Kim K. worn. OMG, the tricky part was not to create it, but to make a reasonable glossy picture! Absolutely impossible with my iPhone! Not glossy enough or so glossy that it looked far too strange. Anyway, here is the result. I love it on Kim; she looked stunning! I wore this look in my youth while living in London, trying to keep my hair wet with plenty of gel, water and hairspray, that did the trick, and believe me, it was a big success at the time ;-), some of you remember me! This crazy time I love to remember, nights partying without knowing a bit about life! How liberating! That's why I decided to try this look again. The conclusion: I loved my skin glowing! I felt sexy, but honestly, not make-up for me at the moment, I guess I am too mature for being a glossy girl and also the shimmer everywhere made me nervous. Another issue I have with this make-up; since some time I am trying to change my look little and trying to wear the eyeliner, my eyes don't want me to wear it! Pretty annoying! After a short time, my eyes start to itch, the same issue I have with false lashes. I can not wear them; I am allergic to them. And that makes me sad. I love big dramatic lashes. But don't worry, I am not giving up! I am still trying and searching for new options. We are going soon to a big party event, and I will definitively do little shimmer, but far less as today! Anyway, after the shoot, we jumped into the pool and had a fun day! I guess Kim was not doing the same after the MET party or? Kisses, Henrieta

  • Our first day of Ramadan 2019

Today started Ramadan, and we are very excited to enjoy our 3rd Ramadan here in Dubai. Ramadan is for Muslims a time of spiritual reflection, improvement and increased devotion and worship. Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam. The famous Fast (sawm) begins at dawn and ends at sunset. We, expats, should respect fasting, eating or drinking at the public is prohibited, but to be honest, it's not as hard as you would believe, the first day you maybe catch yourself biting into the croissant while shopping (that happened to Marcus). But within a second, you realize it, and even Muslims gives you a blink of a smile while watching you hiding your food or drink back to the trolley. I am fasting very often without any religious connection, just because I believe that it is very healthy. Ramadan is also a spiritual detox; the fast is not merely about denying your body food and water. It also involves arguably the more taxing challenge of avoiding arguments, loss of temper and malicious behaviour. The whole point of the fast is to demonstrate submission to God and keep the mind focused on the spiritual. The benefits can be patience and mercy, people taking part in many charities around the country, schools and communities collecting food, toys and clothes, which, let's face it; its not a bad idea. Ramadan, the Muslim month of fasting, has just started. It offers to any sincere seeker a self-reflective course that has the power to bring a revolution of the heart and help restore justice, peace and harmony in the world. Lets us dream little about a better world. We spend our day learning, went to the French class in Alliance Francoise, which Èstelle takes two times a week. Kisses, Ramadan Kareem, Henrieta.

  • Kids love and horses

I feel as it is a good idea to share with you today, how important it is to allow our kids to explore the contact with animals. It is essential for them to understand that all creatures living and sharing this planet with us deserve to be treated with respect and love. Our little girl has two stray cats and a horse to take care of. She learns responsibility and love for animals. These responsibilities and duties make children happy and balanced. Èstelle is always so happy in stable. "All horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl." Our Spotty is loved by me and our little girl. "We love you Spotty, even if you are a pretty naughty boy sometimes." Kisses, Henrieta

  • Sleeping beauty

It is Friday, and we went to the Dubai opera to see Sleeping Beauty Ballet performance with our friends. I planned to buy the tickets for a very long time, but never found the time to it. Luckily my friends did not give up pushing me. We booked the early afternoon ballet performance, to make it more enjoyable for the kids. It was a fantastic show with not only amazing dancers but also beautiful costumes and theatre backdrops. The kids loved it, me too. This time we picked up a royal blue dresses, because Sleeping beauty is a royal fairy tale.

  • Cowgirl in Dubai

Today we spend the morning in stables with our Hanny and Spotty. Here some pictures to remind you, that wearing a hat in stables makes you the most desirable person far and wide, our cowboy girls enjoyed tremendously to be nibbled by Spotty. "When your horse follows you without being asked, when he rubs his head on yours, and when you look at him and feel a tingle down your spine...you know you are loved." ~ John Lyons "The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit and freedom." ~ Sharon Ralls Lemon Kisses to all horse lovers, Henrieta

  • Stars of American ballet

It`s Friday, and we went to the Opera to see the Stars of American Ballet. Today for the first time little different, on the weekend presents Dubai opera the shows also from 2:00 p.m., which is the perfect time for our little ballerina. She can enjoy the show without being tired. Opera was filled with families and kids, running around in beautiful evening dresses. It was a fun experience mainly because we met plenty of friends from our ballet academy but also our close friends. The ballet itself was entertaining, but we have seen already much better dancers, no offence to the hard-working young ballet dancers, they were great, but in comparisment what we have seen in the past, this show was half so good. But never mind, Estelle enjoyed that show and got inspired by the dancers such, that she could not resist in the break time to dance around. Kisses and always dance! Henrieta

  • Riding horse in Dubai - Me and Spotty

Many of you would ask if it is possible to keep a horse in hot Dubai. Well, sure it is, not only that this country is well known for owning the most beautiful and expensive horses from all over the world. But it is also very known for treating the horses the most creative and modern way, huge stables with fitness and swimming pools or air-conditioned stables are nothing special here in Dubai. The horse culture is quite present, and if you are new here, you will definitively not have a problem to find your favourite stable somewhere nearby your home. Dubaianer are spending weekends in the desert with horse riding, which is not even expensive and is worth to try. It is a fantastic experience. We are spending our precious time in Jebel Ali stables, Èstelle and I are here 2 or 3 times a week to ride our lovely Spotty, he is already part of our family, and he is a big love of us. Estelle has a special relationship with Spotty, do not ask me why, she is riding her pony Hanny, but the love between the two is hard not to see, Spotty loves her so much. Whenever I come alone without Estelle, I can feel as he would ask "and where is your little girl?" It is beautiful to have a horse friend. Somehow I am so much connected to this white prince, I trust him and feel very confident with Spotty. Sitting on the horseback is more than just a power, it is freedom and connection with nature. It is not only about riding a horse, but about spending the time together, walking or sit in the stable and talking nonsense. It is very relaxing and gives me such energy. I wish every horse to have a good life and a kind owner. Kisses Henrieta

  • Swimming competition

I would be a bad mother not to write about this incredible day. Today had our little swimmer and princess her first swimming competition. Èstelle is only four years old and was competing with much older kids. I was proud to watch how she swam all the different swim styles and was diving complicated exercise. At the same time behaving very natural with determination to win. As a result of her training, she gained five medals, this is amazing! I had to share this day with you. So keep trying, and you will win. Kisses, Henrieta
