Weeks ago came across my computer a video about ageing and fashion. I was so impressed and discovered a great interest in this subject that I spend days watching very inspiring, beautiful ladies talking about being old and beautiful. Just check Linda Rodin or Carmen Dell'Orefice, on youtube, you will find plenty of material about those ladies. I watched documentaries about Marlen Dietrich on Elizabeth Tailor who once said, "more is more". I love this quote; it is so much true. OK, she meant diamonds, not everyone can afford it, but especially in the fashion, more shoes, more clothes and more accessories, we girls have never enough. Somehow those videos gave me the energy of not being scared of ageing, but the most important message they shared with me, is not to be afraid of playing with fashion and with your own style, try new things and never care what others think and that's the key for all. And there it comes, the question about physical ageing! How scary for most of us. Sure I am getting slowly older, with my forehead wrinkles I cannot deny that I am 40, but why not, thinking about getting botox or other? Not with me, I want to be myself, want to get older with pride. Sure beautiful skin and youth is something we all want to own forever. But not for the sake of my health, and let us not to forget about never-ending animal testing, just to keep humankind looking great!? Hmm, not very logical and kind of strange to me. Watching my mother ageing is nothing terrible, she is beautiful women, never did any cosmetic corrections or improvements, and her skin is OK for her age. And to be honest, I do not even see any remarkable age difference between people with or without cosmetic corrections, to have a skin tighter doesn't change your mature look, you maybe look fresher, but makeup can do magic, and you are on the safe side. Next, is the fact of being a mother; I need to be a role model for my daughter, as my mum is to me. I want my daughter to grow up as a confident person. It will not be much cheering telling her, that she should be happy about herself, but me doing all possible to manipulate my look. Getting older gracefully is definitively the way I try to go. Meanwhile, I will fight with makeup and any semi-natural possibilities to keep up with the younger generation. Oh, furthermore the beloved Photoshop is also a pretty simple solution to look younger ;-), at least on the pictures. My friends, please do not take me wrong, I do not criticise any of you doing it differently, I am writing for me, and how I feel about myself, I would never judge any of you for your decisions. This world is remarkably challenging with a vast variety of possibilities, it is only upon us and our situation to make the right choice in whatever we do. I noticed that my view on fashion and my style slightly changed while getting older. I dress smart and comfortable, but looking back to my youth, I know deep inside myself, I am different. I always cared about what I wear, the crazier, the sexier, the more outrages, the better, some of you know me and remember ;-). That kept me creative and happy, not that I am unhappy now, but I realise the more money you have, the less creative you are. When I studied in London, I was stitching my dresses by hand, searching for days for new fabrics which I could afford, that made me so happy, I was proud and excited to present the world my latest creation, and now? Everything is easy, I go to the shop and buy, I can afford a lot, and that is not creative at all. So those documentaries and vlogs I watched recently remind me of my life before, even that these ladies on the tv monitor are decades older than me! They gave me such energy with their attitude and wisdom about life. About how important is the fashion in our everyday life, fashion keeps you young and pushes you to the next level, level of fantasy, imagination and being proud of your age no matter how old you are. You are worth to be admired at any age. My mother is a great example, the older she gets the beautiful she is. So ladies, never be scared to try whatever you dream of, never forget to always look good even on your bed while relaxing or reading. Open your door to the new tomorrows, be yourself, but always in style, not for others, but for fun and creativity in your colourful and more is more life. Hallo friends! Today was another lovely day in Dubai, the weather is getting veeeeeeery slowly better, but at least evenings are getting little colder. Marcus just got home from travelling this morning, so we decided to grab the chance an go to Estelle's favourite Waterpark in Legoland Dubai. We all like this place, and that for many reasons. First, it is not far away from our home, and the parking situation is perfect, you always get a parking lot. Another great thing about this place, we are very spontaneous and almost never buy the tickets in advance for example online, simply we are too disorganized for this. But never mind, for this place you don't need it, it is never a queue there. We never experienced that this place would be ever packed with visitors. That means for all of you visiting this lovely fun place; you will never have to wait for any rides. You go and slide! I think this is the real reason why we all want to visit such a place, we want to have fun and slide until your but hurts :-) and not waiting. Three of us had a great time today, and I can only confirm it the way to tell you, that both of my loveliest people, Marcus & Estelle, already sleeping since we have arrived home, even without dinner. I genuinely recommend this waterpark; it is easy going water fun in big Dubai. Especially in this hot weather, the perfect place to spend all day and have great fun! Kiss H.

As the title already reveals, the summer is over, after the two-month holiday in beautiful Europe we are back to our beloved home in Dubai! It was our second year spend most of our summertime travelling around Europe, visiting friends and family. Dubai is very hot in summer, that's why everyone from here is escaping to other places, Europe is the perfect destination, rest of the year we travel to exotic destinations, but the two summer months are definitively reserved for my second home Czech Republic, Germany and Switzerland. Of course, we have not missed the chance to visit beautiful Italy and France. I love the idea to get out of the house and drive where ever you can think off. Once you live in Dubai, you realise how simple is to live and travel in Europe. You take a train or a car and go. Here in Dubai is everything reachable only by the plane. However, we are back, and we feel how good is to be home. We missed our lovely friends, our activities which we can not imagine to live without. Èstelle continues with her Ballet, and Piano classes, new on our plan is a French kindergarten, she just started and love going there. I started my new fitness plan. We are happy to see our horses we missed the entire summer. Oh!, and our two cats Ginger and Tiger! So, my dear Dubai, you made us feel welcomed already at the airport, you always good to us, even though we sometimes find difficult to stand the heat outside, but we believe in you, we love you, and we are looking forward to good days starting after the summer holiday. Playing the piano has been on my bucket list for some time now, but I didn't have the time or energy to sign up for some lessons. "If you didn't like piano lessons as a kid, then you might be missing out. Studies show playing the piano can help relieve stress, stimulate your brain, strengthen your hand muscles, and much more". Like most people, I took the time in January to reflect on my previous year and also consider how to live well in the one to come. Taking up a new activity or sport can top the lists of things to accomplish in a new year, and the challenge can be incredibly rewarding. At the same time, starting something new can also be intimidating and short-lived. But not with the support of my daughter, she wanted to start piano lessons, so we both did it. As some of you know Marcus, he always supports Estelle and me with everything, followed by big excitement. So he decided, if we start to play the piano, then only on the proper one, and in white, please! Fitting to our interior, so he did research about which piano should be the best for us. That took some time as usual. Because what ever Marcus do, is based on facts and statistics which he studies day by night. So finally our Grand piano was delivered to our house in March 2018. I fell in love on the first sight. We placed it in the centre of our house to be heard everywhere. And now????? Do you believe we are still playing???? The answer is yes! Sure! Every each day and that many times. Estelle is talented and loves making music sounds on this funny big white piece of furniture. She has already an extensive repertoire of songs she plays with both hands. And me? I spend many hours especially at night drilling my techniques and playing beautiful songs. This 5-month learning piano gave me a lot, as said at the beginning of this article. It relieves stress ( which I do not have at all, but you never know), stimulates your brain (yes for sure). Since I am getting older I am more curious to start new things, I am happy to have plenty of hobbies such as horse riding, sailing, swimming, painting, trading and many more. My daughter and my hubby is my inspiration, it is good to have such inspiring people around you. On how to successfully start a hobby- and stick with it! Go crazy! Write down all the activities you’ve ever wanted to explore on a piece of paper. My bucket is very long and never-ending. Don’t limit yourself or think about whether or not they’re actually possible. Just have fun and welcome the possibilities! Once you have your list, go back through and begin circling anything that stands out to you. Ask around to see if any of your friends are interested in the same activity. Trying new things with a pal can make it a lot less intimidating. You’ll also have someone holding you accountable and making sure you show up on time! In my case is my daughter she needs to practise her lessons, so we learn together. Don’t get discouraged- it’s all about trying something you’ve never done before, so chances are you won’t be the best right away. My horse riding experience was followed by pain everywhere. I guess, some people just give up. Let go of your expectations and just enjoy this new opportunity. You’ll be so proud of yourself in the end. Kiss

I loved my 30s and wasn't sure how I'd feel turning 40, but I'm more confident and comfortable. My daughter, a gorgeous 4-year-old princess, still think I'm a ‘young and beautiful mom,’ which sounds cool to me and is actually the most important.” This year is exceptional for both of us, she just recently turned 4 and me 40, that is very magical. Today I had another lovely photoshoot. OMG, this red cashmere dress is so beautiful! I love the intense red colour and the lipstick! Wow! Why do I not wear this colour much often? Not only me but most of us ladies, we are going more for neutral nude tones but why? Maybe because it seems to us too much for every day? Sure, perhaps you are right, but I promised to myself to go for this colour more often now. Hopefully, I can inspire you to follow me...... Kiss

While sitting in our bedroom and doing some research for our summer holiday, suddenly I noticed that our house got quiet for a quite long time, which is not very usual. After some time my lovely daughter came dressed up in winter clothing. Despite the fact that we have a pretty hot weather outside, I got very quickly inspired by this idea, Èstelle organised me some warm stuff, and we played for some time. We had such fun. But I am so glad that here in Dubai there is no need for such cloth. I do not miss a bit of it, but once in a while playing like is snowing is OK, and if you ocassionally miss the snow, no worries, visit Mall of the Emirates for skiing or Dubai Mall for skating. Kiss

So the summer is here guys. This year I am totally in love with boho style. I always loved it, boho style is nothing new, already since years we see from time to time on the streets boho style, but this season I am totally crazy!!!!!! I bought this bikini some time ago in some no-name shop here in Dubai, for a very convenient price, around 50 Euro. This is a deal of the day! Or what do you think? The bag is from Greece by my favourite boho designer Antica Sartoria, and the scarf is from Mykonos from a lovely little shop selling solely traditional products. However, I have to say that Mykonos is a beautiful place to shop, I like the romantic natural style, Marcus and I bought plenty of lovely things there. Kiss

I just seen this beautiful video, so I need to share it with you guys. A really powerful video, I had to watch it a second time to capture all the clever details. There are moments in our lives which are absolutely unforgettable. I have been lucky all my life being throughout those moments many times. Already the fact to be able to stay at home with my daughter and spend every second of her life with her is for me the biggest treasure I have. Today had our little Èstelle her first ballet show, imagine, this little girl is still officially three years old, going to be soon 4, but anyway..... She is amazing brave girl, and I am so proud of her. She plays piano, dance, riding a pony, learn French, speaks fluent three languages just a few to say, at this age? After the show, I spoke to my mother, send her pictures and just talked. She surprised me with her last words on the phone. She said; "You should be proud of yourself daughter, you are the best mum in the world." She shocked me with her words because I never saw that this way, but it is true, I am trying to do the best for Èstelle giving her all my love and all my time. Thank you mom, for telling me that, the words you said, I feel so proud of myself. Today was another big day for our Duffner Clan. Our little ballerina is getting where she belongs. I am planning for pretty long time to organise my closet. OK, no chance at the moment, but I just looked throughout to make myself feel like, I am at least trying to do it. Today is Monday, that means Èstelle has her ballet class. The weekdays are always busy, and I need to feel comfortable. While dancing in my closet at least pretending I am doing something, I found this very old Zara dress; it is maybe 12 years old?!!!!! I remember buying it in Frankfurt Germany, where I used to live. So pretty loooong time ago! Anyway, I kept it because of years ago I saw a picture of Ivanka Trump wearing the same Zara dress, OK let's not talk about who wore it, let's talk about this wonderful timeless piece which is incredibly comfy for a busy day. Yesterday we went to a birthday party! Our little Angel Nicole was five years old! Thank you for inviting us, we had a wonderful time. We wore this matching dresses to look as much romantically as possible. The party was in the garden, so we wanted to look like blossom flowers to celebrate with our little fairy Nicole.
